It’s been a year of two halves so far. Travel has become a thing of the past (largely) for now and time at home has become more the norm. As such, it’s a bit of a cliche I know, but I’ve been reminded that health is wealth that can’t be bought and should be nurtured.
Living a healthier life has been my aim for some time now. It can sometimes feel like a tall order – the exercise (is it cardio, strength, stretching, yoga), the eating (carbs, no carbs, takeout or not) and then you scroll the internet and you are bombarded with meditation and mindfulness blogs and posts. I took the approach that I’d do a little of everything to see what sticks, not beat myself up when I reached for a take out chinese instead of a healthier option and aim to do one type of exercise most days – regardless of where I was or what I was doing.
This seems to have worked for me. I feel better, fitter certainly and all it has taken is a small amount of effort. Give it a go if you like. You never know, you might like it.
