There is something quite interesting happening almost a year after lockdown begun. The frustration of lockdown is still there but I have begun to find ways of filling my spare time (outside of the work day) with valuable pursuits instead of watching TV. It started with the virtual workouts, which have become a standard part of the day. I then added music practise and reading a new book a month on a topic I wouldn’t have previously chosen. This month it’s a book about Churchill’s first year in power. A departure from my more usual Jilly Cooper rom com or Clive Cussler’s adventures. there are other things (garden, recipes and cooking and finding new podcasts). These are all things I didn’t have the time for before Covid.
I guess what I am trying to say is that although we can’t escape the horror of a global pandemic perhaps there are small moments where we can at least try. If that doesn’t work here is a cute puppy photo to help make you smile.
