Not the usual cause of a London traffic jam…..Alaska what can I say? The last frontier? Well probably not, but its certainly a place very unlike my usual haunts in London.  I have never had traffic stopped for a Bear before. AND when I say traffic, this is a country 7 times the size of the UK – with a population that would fit into one of our suburbs (a small one)…so traffic is maybe one car.   Lots of amazing scenery, fabulously inventive people and things to see.  A bar decorated in signed dollar bills, a MEATAZ wagon (best food), a town whose summer population is 42 – drops to 22 in the winter and a place that is blazing sunshine at midnight.  Give it a go…but don’t bother packing your city clothes.  Walking boots, layers, rain gear.  #packwell #wild frontier #alaska #grissly bear #lonely planet
